Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zscaler Internet Access as our proxy solution, you cannot access the internet without Zscaler Internet Access. We use it to enable features like Browser Isolation and to do proxy chaining with other network tools. Zscaler Internet Access offers a plethora of solutions like SSL Inspection, URL and Cloud App Control and most importantly customization of multiple PAC files.

We have to use Thorsen sometimes to verify our PAC file, would be nice if Zscaler Internet Access had its own built PAC verification feature
I think is some policy configures we are limited by either the amount of users we can restrict policies to and I think that can be a little frustrating when you have a large organization

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zscaler Internet Access(ZIA) by utilizing all of DLP, saas dlp, URL filtering, cloud apps, sandbox, and SSL inspection. We also route some of our server workload to ZIA policies. Some of the business problem is users not understanding why they can't go to certain sites and being blocked. The scope of the use case is to protect the end users from going to malicious sites and for sensitive data not to be compromised.

Cons

advanced threat protection can't seem to be made granular as it is a global policy. it should have the ability to grant granular policy.
I would like to see more of the expiration time in other file/url policies similar to cloud app.

It has allow our sales team folks to efficiently work without having to worry about malicious threats. they know they are safe from phishing sites because of Zscaler Internet Access

Our situation is unique. Our employees are fully remote and our infrastructure is entirely cloud native. Having no physical data centre makes VPN unnecessary. Also, having end users working off home networks poses a challenge for security controls. We utilize Zscaler Internet Access to solve all of these challenges. The Zscaler agent is deployed to all end user equipment and provides us with controls like CASB, malware scanning, SSL inspection, firewall rules, and more. Zscaler Internet Access provides visibility to detect suspicious or malicious traffic, protection to prevent malware, and is highly customizable.

Cons

Given all of the features Zscaler Internet Access bundles (firewall, CASB, URL filter, DLP, etc...) it makes the console somewhat cumbersome. Anyone planning to utilize Zscaler Internet Access should be prepared to invest time in training or seek out professional services.
In some cases, the app risk index ratings do not include enough criteria to effectively assess an applications risk exposure. Adding more criteria or allowing customers to add their own would be a welcomed feature.

Return on Investment

Great value through consolidated model. Zscaler Internet Access combines features that traditionally have been sold as separate items. With Zscaler Internet Access, organizations gain all of these features with one product.
Excellent support. In addition to the support portal, Zscaler Internet Access customers can book sessions with Zscaler Security Engineers for a detailed review of their configurations. This service is included as part of the contract.
Modernize your Security/technology to limit reliance on traditional data centre/firewall appliances.
