Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
We use SOLIDWORKS for 3D, and 2D for DraftSight. Most of the drawing that we received from the client or vendor, we use DraftSight to verify if it's what we needed and starts working with them. Also for the parts that we are sending out, we mostly use SOLIDWORKS to modify however some old CAD files we use DraftSight to modify.
Pros
- Light.
- Easy to use.
- Functionality.
Cons
- Limited functionality like AutoCAD.
- Shortcuts are hard to use.
- Easy to work with client's drawing.
- Fast modification by not wasting engineer's time.
SOLIDWORKS is cheap and do what I needed to be done.
