FLEXspace.org Appreciates Acquia!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We launched FLEXspace.org on the Acquia Platform on the recommendation of our developer. FLEXspace is a complex portal where each "member" is also a mini-administrator, uploading exemplars of different types of technology enabled education spaces. When the version of Drupal reached end of life, our new developer KWALL.com already had a good relationship with Acquia, and the transition has been very smooth with very results! We're anxious to launch the new portal in the coming weeks.

Pros

  • It's fast, no lag time
  • Exceptionally good support. When there's a problem, you reach out to your account manager who either fixes the issue or gets you to the right person. We've had no downtime.
  • Platform is very accessible to those who know how to manage the back end software.

Return on Investment

  • A reliable platform = happy user base!
  • Ours is a non-profit service, we are happy that people appreciate and recommend the site for its content.
  • FLEXspace.org rapidly grew to over 6,000 users from 1,400 educational institutions across 75 countries - it is a joy to watch educators contributing content and sharing ideas.

Acquia Products and Services Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use a number of Acquia products and services across our enterprise. We power over 40 core sites and tools internet and intranet. We leverage the Acquia ecosystem, Drupal, site studio, DAM on ACSF and ACE stacks to build operate, enhance both websites and headless APIs which in turn power various BCBSMA portals.

Pros

  • Low code, no code ability for business teams to build and maintain their own basic sites and content
  • Enables us to have a single source of truth for all our digital assets via the DAM, manage and distribute them across the enterprise and to other third party partner applications
  • Allow for rapid creation, spin up, publishing of critical digital content without releases, both intranet, and internet
  • Acquia platform and its operational support is outstanding, extremely reliable

Cons

  • We like the DAM but it needs improvements in its availability of APIs and plug in integrations. ex. the Brightcove plugin does not support 508c asset accessory files, the DAM does, our understanding is there is no API access to the asset aux files.

Return on Investment

  • Enable us to be fast to market with new digital properties
  • Enable us to easily create branded templates for our various brands
  • Meet government compliance requirements for rapid management and distribution of mandated documents.

An agency look at Acquia DXP

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In this project we have a big challenge. Deliver 3 websites in a short time while keeping the ability for non technical content editors to create new pages using pre configured components.

We've used Acquia Site Studio together with Acquia Cloud Site Factory to achieve these goals. This combo lead us develop all websites in a record time, allowing our customer to launch them before summer.

Pros

  • Source Code Management
  • Deploy pipelines
  • User management

Cons

  • Hosting plans fit for smaller websites

Return on Investment

  • Decreased implementation time
  • Gave more freedom for content editors
  • Provided a good development workflow

Acquia CDP

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the CDP to drive campaign selection and segmentation, and then for the closed loop analysis to understand the performance of our marketing tactics. We also use the CDP for customer, transaction, and product analysis.

Pros

  • Targeting of customers
  • Quick analysis of customer transaction behavior
  • Aggregation of customer metrics for dashboard reporting

Cons

  • Campaign segmentation. Limited attributes are available for segmentation. All the attributes for targeting should also be included in segmentation
  • Ability to replicate dashboards
  • Ability to report on events that are tracked in metrics

Return on Investment

  • Reduced mailing costs by half on new customers by using ML models to determine who is the most likely to repurchase
  • Shifted spend in digital channels by understanding the LTV of customer for both online and offline sales to drive the most profitable customers

Excellent platform - premium tier pricing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We host sensitive private data for schools. It needs to be private and it needs to be reliable. The data also needs to be on Australian servers. We use their lowest tier of hosting/support to conserve spend, but the services have been provided well, as has the tech support, despite phone not being an option.

Pros

  • Instant response
  • Competent tech support
  • Reliable hosting

Cons

  • Documentation is a bit hard to follow
  • Responsiveness on Cloud IDE is slow enough that we've used another solution

Return on Investment

  • Their security levels help us close sales.
  • Their tech support helps us retain them.
