What is LogMeIn Miradore?

LogMeIn Miradore is a cloud-based Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution designed to help IT admins and Managed Service Providers manage both company-owned and personal Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows devices from a single platform. Miradore is used to automate repetitive tasks like enrollments, configurations, and patch updates. The platform strengthens security with features like encryption, remote lock/wipe, and passcode enforcement, ensuring sensitive data remains protected. It also helps to boost productivity by equipping users with the right apps, settings and configurations from the start while minimizing technical issues.

Miradore is an excellent MDM solution with fantastic customer support!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My agency uses Miradore for mobile device management of all of our company-owned iPhones and iPads, for control over software, settings, etc., and for location-tracking in the case of loss.

Pros

  • App management/automatic updates/software-push/whitelisting & blacklisting
  • Settings/configuration profiles for multiple groups of users
  • WiFi password management/automatic push
  • Device enrollment/interfacing with Apple Business Manager

Cons

  • Just being picky (because not much is wrong), I'd love it if some views would auto-refresh rather than me having to click to do so manually

Most Important Features

  • Application management/deployment
  • The ability to remotely push/wipe/reset
  • Configuration profiles/standardization for multiple user groups

Return on Investment

  • Miradore has removed a great deal of "hands-on" time for me; instead of having to physically work on multiple devices, I can manage almost everything without touching an iPad or iPhone!
  • I don't have to worry about what's installed on our devices (whitelist or blacklist), as everything we need is pushed remotely and everything we don't is disallowed.

Other Software Used

Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365

MDM with great features and management performance.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Miradore was a pleasant surprise as an MDM solution for our corporate smartphones. It is perfect as a manager for our mobile devices to monitor, manage and protect all devices remotely and always ensure the best hardware performance free of virtual threats and non-productive software. We started testing the free version a couple of years ago and after our management approved it we migrated to the premium version which is very cheap and costs less than $3 per device to always keep it secure and remotely manageable.

Pros

  • Support for IOS and Android operating systems.
  • Remote control of all devices.
  • Option of alarms in cases of theft or loss of the device.
  • Keeps all documents on the device encrypted and safe in case of loss.
  • Schedule to create update and uninstall routines.
  • Miradore makes it possible to release and install applications by type of user, avoiding unnecessary or malware-laden app installations for a given group or user.
  • Increased productivity, as it avoids the installation and use of non-corporate apps.
  • Location of devices in real time for cases where there is a need.

Cons

  • Documentation available from Miradore is very basic.
  • It remains to detail all the features of the software in more depth.

Most Important Features

  • Location of devices in case of theft or loss;
  • BYOD (Bring your own device), with division of personal and corporate content;
  • Web content filtering and blocking of games and other necessary applications.
  • It helps us with standardization policy for apps, wallpaper, security and networking for everyone who owns corporate devices.
  • It allows us to install only apps released by the user on our devices, avoiding the installation of unnecessary apps that may contain malware.
  • Inventory of devices, enabling the sending of notifications, blocks and adjustments on all smartphones or only on selected users.
  • Release or restriction of use outside office hours;

Return on Investment

  • Increased productivity, as it avoids the installation and use of non-corporate apps;
  • Increased protection and preservation of the company's information and integrity;
  • It allows us to work remotely with company devices and have security.
