What is Teams Manager?

Teams Manager for Microsoft Teams is a software tool designed to enable companies to manage their internal structures while facilitating the creation of new teams on Microsoft Teams. The application ensures that users adhere to naming conventions and governance policies set by the company, which helps enforce standardization across all teams in the organization. The software offers pre-defined templates with channels, tabs, permissions, settings, and apps that help streamline team creation.

Teams Manager has an authorization process built-in that automatically forwards requests for new teams to predefined personnel for approval or denial. Additionally, master templates can be updated without IT support, making it easy to keep track of changes and maintain consistency throughout all existing teams in the organization. The software provides complex preconfigured templates aimed at improving collaboration and team structure right from the start. With its synchronization capabilities and one-click installation through Teams Store, Teams Manager is a valuable tool for managing internal structures while allowing users flexibility when creating new teams on Microsoft Teams.

Teams Manager a Centralized Platform for Team Work

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Teams Manager for Microsoft Teams helps create different teams, giving them permission of what to access and define their limit. It is a platform that keeps the whole organization at one place. Previously when Work from home started it was a tough task to handle different teams in one place. You have to separately take the feedbacks of the projects etc. Now through this everything is centralized. Assigning tasks and seeing the progress of any project is easy now.

Pros

  • Handles different teams and teams members
  • Giving them permissions as per their job profile and necessity
  • Seeing the projects' progress through one platform

Cons

  • There should be a privacy for users chat in a team
  • Every user should not be allowed to create a team, but only Team managers should do this
  • Many channels which are inactive for long time should send notifications to the manager about the inactivity and thus should be deleted if not in use

Most Important Features

  • Managing every user on the same platform
  • adding members according to their projects in a particular channel
  • Adding a person in multiple channel according to their projects assigned

Return on Investment

  • A centralized platform for the Operation Manager to handle and see the progress of different projects
  • This makes it easy to handle everyone at one place thus reducing time in contacting individuals and taking the feedback on progress
  • Knowing of any hurdles or bottlenecks in any project by just clicking on any channel and seeing their discussion. Thus guiding them then and there only.
