What is Tovuti LMS?

Designed as a people-centric LMS, Tovuti aims to make learning fun and management simple to boost productivity for users and admins alike. Users can generate courses with AI and increase learner engagement with interactive videos, memory games, and 40+ other gamification options, as well as create bespoke experiences with customizable learning paths. Tovuti is designed to integrate into currently in place ecosystems, and supports data-driven decisions with its internal reporting feature. Tovuti offers pre-built courses on on topics from OSHA to DE&I, sales, and leadership training.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Tovuti LMS to train not only our staff on employee information but also our organization's membership. We use it for training, development, and a variety of other preparation opportunities we offer to our members. Being that we have clubs and members spread across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, Tovuti LMS has greatly helped us deliver consistent and timely training information.

Pros

Support: The amount of support I've received as an admin of the system is amazing! This is the 4th LMS system I've used. I've never had such a high level of support!
Content Creation: I don't need a multitude of programs to upload to Tovuti LMS. I'm easily able to use the system or create a PowerPoint for my needs. This has saved our non-profit organization a ton of money!
User Friendly: Tovuti LMS is user-friendly, not only for me but also for our users! Once in the system, our users find navigation simple.

Cons

We desperately want (and need) to put parameters on usernames. We want to use email addresses. Having this be a system "requirement" as an option for admins to choose is on my high-priority list of needs.
The ability to click and drag to reorder the layout and courses would be helpful. I spent a solid hour just yesterday reordering our media list so the oldest items were at the bottom instead of the top.
Having an archive for courses, lessons, etc. no longer being used would be super helpful. Having to sort through all the "unpublished" items can take a ton of time.

The ability to offer training courses and topics previously not possible. Since we don't do all training in person, we can still offer personal development training

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to train members of an open-source software community. We need an online learning platform to host, manage and help with the authoring of high-tech training to be available on-demand to aid with project success, and we need details of all trainees for our marketing efforts.

Pros

Cons

Some of the features are not customizable, as advertised, for example, embellishments on videos to make them interactive. There are a few areas where styling is difficult.
The documentation is quite poor, it is not easy to find answers to more detailed questions.
Some of the features are a little non-intuitive and not consistent, so it is often hard to remember or understand the thinking behind them. For example, "Events" are under "Community" in the menus. The difference between "portal", "landing page" and "dashboard" could be more consistently defined.

Tovuti LMS is a pretty good one-stop shop for everything we need. The layout and backend editor is good as well as being easy to navigate. Tovuti LMS is also good for payment processors like Stripe. I do wish they had a better Google calendar extension though.

Cons

Workflow isn't very efficient. I wish you could create your own commonly used sections and place them on some kind of page that did a step 1 - 2- 3 kind of thing. It would save having 10 tabs open
Doesn't tie well into Google Calendar or calendars in general
Events: When using the child element in events, updating the parent event will erase all of the child's events information. Always have those child events open in a tab before saving the parent.

Payment processing online on our actual website with good security is really nice
All of our courses are free for the most part so just easy of use for the student is a really helpful thing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily use Tovuti for our Youth Transition department, which provides pre-employment training services to high school students with disabilities. At the start of the pandemic, this solved our largest problem - how to quickly and easily transfer curriculum to a virtual setting. More recently, we've also started using Tovuti to host virtual community events as well as the creation and delivery of agency-wide employee training. Reporting via Tovuti has also solved business problems; activity reports allow for a seamless record of staff training completion and have eliminated several documents used in the past.

Pros

Tovuti provides a ton of interactive activity design capabilities - this is really important for the demographic we work with and allows for a variety of accommodations.
Tovuti's support and on-boarding teams are spectacular. My questions have always been confirmed and resolved within a 24-hour time period.
Tovuti is simple to use and direct in navigation, both on the user and administrator sides.

Cons

iFraming has always been an interesting feature to try out, but the design can be tricky. Allowing for my useable iFraming activities is always on my list.
Offering reporting/results on interactive videos is something I've been missing from the start. We use interactive videos to provide checkpoints of understanding, but there's no result section on the back end to review students' responses - only a numerical score is provided.
Toggling between personal dashboards and team lead dashboards is a great capability, but this opens a new tab. I'd rather everything stay within one tab and navigate through that!

Return on Investment

Tovuti has allowed us to get through the pandemic successfully, while more than adequately supporting the individuals we serve.
Tovuti has allowed a shared space for staff to access their employee training, eliminated external documents that fill up our Google drive.
Tovuti has made curriculum development/design quick and simple.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It has features to develop, deliver, and track online education and training. It offers a flexible content management system that allows students and instructors to use course materials on the go. Tovuti LMS allows you to generate learning content as well as run virtual classrooms with up to 250 participants. Training modules can be stored locally or in the cloud.

Pros

You can effortlessly set up logins and manage registered courses with Tovuti LMS.
The interface is easy to use and can be easily linked with a variety of APIs.
You can customize the learning module by adding or removing information.
During virtual events, groups can be divided into multiple virtual teams and then return to the original group.

Cons

Sometimes there are delays in compiling the course completion status and reflecting changes.
To use Tovuti LMS, you need a stable internet connection.
For an informed data visualization, the analytics dashboard can be expanded a bit.
It would be amazing if they added the ability to track the progress of all students without requiring a single admin login.
