Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our company, we use DraftSight across the whole organization, starting from the engineering department straight to production. In our business we use it in order to create share and update production cycle information, but we also use it to manage company layout for various purpose (safety, fire-fighting, emergency, electrical, machines layout, and so on).

Easy to use interface.
Complete compatibility with DWG format.
Strong software stability (it doesn't freeze!!).

Add free viewer system to share files with others.
Floating license.
More customizable interface.

Very cheap licenses are easy to implement.

Likelihood to Recommend

DraftSight is a very good system in our company because we prepare all our production cycles layout in it and then we share them with production department saving them in DWG format and adding a link in our MES system that can read only DWG files; from the department everybody can see cycles and eventually can update it without any problem due to an easy interface system.
