Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to keep track of donations and relationships between our community. Its was good way to pull reports current and from previous years.

Pros

  • Manage donors
  • Send out tax forms
  • Effective report writing

Cons

  • Adding relationships between constituents could be explained how to do this a little easier.
  • The help desk could use some help. More clear explanation about how to pull specific reports.

Return on Investment

  • it has had a positive impact in the fact that i can approach donors and up the ask from the previous year.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Little Green Light for our CRM - we do not use it to its full capacity, and I would like to start. That is my goal for 2024. We use it for tracking our donors and donations. It offers great reporting, but we do not use it. We use it to pull tax letters and that is about it. I have been researching this year and plan to implement reporting to reengage lapsed donors.

Pros

  • Ease of entering donations
  • Ease of creating tax letters
  • Ease of templated thank you notes
  • Ability to have multiple types of thank you notes: Recurring, New Donor, In Honor Of.....

Cons

  • I think the pulling lists could be easier and exporting the results
  • I would love more webinars to learn extended features
  • Tax letters to provide a PDF - this was in the works and hopefully is ready for this year tax season.
  • Ability to attach a file to an email

Return on Investment

  • After the previous page I see we are missing several areas of opportunity with this product
  • We do not use many of the features due to concern for change
  • I love being able to see how many new donors we get

Pros

  • Donor touch tracking (calls, meetings, etc.)
  • Relationships and stewardship
  • Forms for event and other registrations
  • Financial reporting and gift tracking
  • Great support team! I was initially worried because they don't have a contact number, but they reply to support questions really quickly and are always helpful.

Cons

  • Tracking partners/spouses is a bit ambiguous, whether to track as two separate individuals or the same contact (both have their pros and cons).
  • Not strong in grant tracking/reporting
  • No app (yet!)

Return on Investment

  • It only works with Stripe, so we have to manually log recurring and on-time online gifts.
  • Easy to use and easy to train so I can trust that volunteers using the database will use it correctly.
  • Makes pulling fundraising reports seamless.

Pros

  • Saves time and steps when receiving, categorizing, and acknowledging donations.
  • It is a powerful relational database with the flexibility to view information in many different ways.

Cons

  • I wish the LGL Forms could send notices when a customer's recurring payment fails.
  • More integration with other programs would be wonderful.

Return on Investment

  • The better I know my donors, the more comfortable they are making gifts to my organization.
  • LGL lends us the professionalism that gives our donors confidence.
