Access HR system, an all-in-one solution for employees

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Access PeopleHR is used for all our staff's time. i.e. Sick leave, Holidays, Lieu and overtime. we also use it for recruitment, skills, Expenses and personal details. this system replaced our outdated spreadsheet method and is very handy for alerting the correct managers / people via emails for approvals etc.. this alleviates the need for daily human checking.

Pros

  • Recording Personal Data
  • Logging of Overtime and LIEU
  • easily request Holiday leave

Cons

  • The UI could do with being more Up to date, i find it easy to use but is quite cartoon like.
  • More Details for skills is required, I have some certifications but the system does not recognise the Brand
  • Emails that are sent out could use an overhaul as they don't stand out as much as i think they should

The mobile accessibility of Access PeopleHR has significantly improved our HR management process. With the ability to access contracts, company regulations, and swiftly search employee data on mobile devices, our team enjoys enhanced flexibility and collaboration. This feature enables quick information retrieval, fostering seamless communication and efficient handling of HR tasks. While we haven't encountered any urgent matters, the mobile access has undoubtedly contributed to a responsive and streamlined HR workflow, ensuring accessibility from anywhere at any time.

  • In my experience, Billing team and Support is not good

Pros

  • PeopleHR before access, a few things - Access now - unfortunately can't list much

Cons

  • Communication - In my opinion, extremely poor customer service (including basic interpersonal skills etc), shocking response times, often just ignored.
  • Following on from above, very hard to get in touch with anyone by phone. Extremely long call answering times - have given up waiting many times.
  • Cost - used to be very competitively priced before Access took over, but prices keep going up. Supposedly because of new functionality but our business never benefited from any new features yet we were still charged more.
  • Lots of system issues - often we couldn't even log into the system because of system problems. Seemed like the system went down very frequently.
  • No dedicated account manager. It would be great to have a dedicated account manager who you could contact for any issues, instead trying to contact any central team within Access is a nightmare. See below.
  • I feel their Access Support Portal/ticket system is terrible. Rather than being able to talk through an issue with someone who have to raise a ticket through the portal but often i had reps trying to close down tickets before even resolving the issue.

Return on Investment

  • As a result of the poor customer service approach we received because of an issue, we were forced to source an alternative HR system and incredibly short notice resulting in a huge amount of additional hours needing to be worked 'out of hours' to ensure something was in place in time. Very adverse impact on the business and the continuity for our employees.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use for planning holidays, soring personal files, onboarding. Would like to use for tracking overtime but, in my experience, the system doesn't work

Pros

  • easy to store documents
  • issuing documents to sign
  • logbooks are useful

Cons

  • In my opinion, customer service is shocking
  • In my experience, glitches constantly particularly holiday all the time
  • In my experience, time and attendance still not functioning after 3 years!
  • In my experience, renewals breaching terms and conditions
  • In my experience, the documents/mail merge system constantly fails with formatting, glitching or just not working

Return on Investment

  • time spent fixing errors reduces any ROI
  • excess hours spent correcting holiday errors
  • price increases for supposed content that is not required reduces ROI
