What is Referral Rock?

Referral Rock is referral marketing software that works alongside the user's business with the goal of helping them get more customers. Referral Rock allows users to automate the ask, nurture multiple shares, align incentives, convert to sales, then repeat. This approach aims to create a viral self-feeding referral program.

Users can run refer a friend, influencer, and partner programs for any business (not just e-commerce), according to the vendor, to maximize word of mouth referrals through referral program software that fits their business.

The vendor promises the user's brand, voice, incentive structure, and rewards can all be integrated with their systems and business processes.

The vendor's goal is that users are not in the platform every day and that their word of mouth runs on autopilot so they can kick back and relax and watch the referrals roll in. The vendor promises to make it easy to set up and avoid the biggest mistakes in referral marketing with built-in best practices and real-time audits to make sure the program is performing to it's potential.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Referral Rock as a platform to streamline referral marketing in the most automatized way possible. The idea is really to alleviate the burden on both publishers (influencers, bloggers, WEB administrators, etc.) and advertisers. A key aspect of the platform is its ability to integrate Referral Marketing with Sales Management.

  • Great tracking/analytics features

Cons

  • Salesforce integration isn't free (need to buy the most expensive plan).
  • Does not provide as iOS/Android app.
  • User Interface/Design could be better.

Referral Rock saved me 100s of hours of manual referral program management work (and made me look good!)

Pros

  • Automation (one click access link with our email marketing software, payouts, etc.).
  • Reporting (their dashboard and logs are SUPER detailed).
  • Onboarding (we have a dedicated account rep who's great via email and video calls).

Cons

  • Just a few minor missing features that I have been told are on the roadmap. Certainly not blockers.
  • Gift card payouts that work internationally, even if the currency selected is specific to a certain country (i.e. a $100 USD gift card payout amount should still result in the ability for the recipient to choose a gift card worth $100 USD, but available in their home country. Right now we are limited to only those gift cards available within the payout currency country).

Return on Investment

  • Too soon to tell at this point, but things look promising!
