Dude Solutions Help Desk is basic

Pros

  • For maintenance requests, Dude Solutions Help Desk documents the request and then allows the custodial staff to record updates for the staff member to see. So, the request and solution are available for all parties involved.
  • For building use, I find some of the features helpful including the ability to see if what you are looking for is available before you book it.
  • Overall, Dude Solutions Help Desk is not difficult to use.

Cons

  • The overall look of Dude Solutions Help Desk could be more aesthetically pleasing with more options for selections. Of course, my district could have chosen the set up so I'm not sure if that is a fair statement.
  • The schedule request could use some more information and a calendar so I can see what is available before I choose my date, time, and location in the building. Dude Solutions Help Desk will tell me if my choice is not available, but it does not give me an overview of the calendar.

Return on Investment

  • Dude Solutions Help Desk does serve a purpose in creating and solving maintenance requests. A definite positive is that it keeps a clear line of the communication between the staff member and the custodial staff.
  • For the scheduling in Dude Solutions Help Desk, I wish it was a more complex system with more options and a way to see the entire calendar.
  • The overall look of Dude Solutions Help Desk could also be updated to look more current and make it easier to use.

Great Work Order Program

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dude Solutions for our work orders as we have several buildings and need a way to keep things in an orderly fashion. The program assists us in making sure all work orders that are created go to the correct person for the work to be done.

Pros

  • Updates to make things easier
  • The ability to see what needs to be done by each site and where it is in the scheme of things.
  • The ease of printing off the work order so that we can give it to staff that doesn't have access to a computer.

Cons

  • Cannot think of anything right now.

  • Mobile App
  • Ability to take pictures and attach to the work order
  • Having the status updated and sent to the creator of the work order.

Return on Investment

  • Dude Solutions Work and Asset Management has had a positive impact on all of our overall business objectives. It is extremely user friendly

Dude Solutions Not Helpful

Pros

  • Pre-fills information into the form.
  • Can customize locations and areas in buildings.

Cons

  • The overall user interface is bland.
  • Switching to the IT application takes opens in another tab.

Pros

  • Ease of use to request assistance.
  • Many categories to choose from so that the worker will easily know what is wrong and where they need to go to help.
  • The ability to upload a picture to give a description of the issue from computer viruses to leaky ceiling tiles.

Cons

  • Needs an updated design.
  • Some of the options for IT are older... this may be district-based though.
  • I would like to bookmark the IT tab on my dashboard since it is used the most.

Return on Investment

  • We can calculate the need for IT workers based on work orders.
  • We can track issues at buildings and what buildings may need more help.
  • A simple approach where it makes it easy to get work order information rather than emails and phone calls.
